Tickseed thrives in dry poor soils such as rocky or sandy soils. Clay soils should be amended with compost before planting to aid drainage. A full grown plant can reach up to 6-8 feet high and 3-4 feet wide.

Size: 3 Quart

Light Requirements: Full Sun

Water and Soil Requirements: Medium, Dry to well drained soils

Deer Resistant: Mostly

Ecological benefits/uses: Provides nectar and pollen to beneficial insects and pollinators such as hoverflies, bees, wasps, and butterflies. It is a great addition to a pollinator garden, vegetable garden, or traditional landscape. Tickseed will also perform well in a container with good drainage.
