About Kathy: Kathy Barylski is an ardent naturalist, going back to childhood and volunteering at her local nature center in her teens. Early passions included botany and butterflies. Now, Kathy is interested in pretty much anything beautiful or flying! She leads the local Frederick County butterfly count at Catoctin Creek Park and participates in other counts in and out of state. Kathy is passionate about sharing her love of nature through adult education with Frederick and Hagerstown Community Colleges and through teaching kids the joy of insects with bug camps.
