Fountain Rock Native Plant Sale

The plant sale is accepting online orders from Sept. 1 to Sept. 22, 2022. To preview our catalog, click "Download our Catalog" at the bottom of this page. Please read the following important messages, and then scroll to the bottom and click "Enter The Sale" to shop after Sept. 1st.

About our plants

Every plant we offer is native  to Frederick County, Maryland. That means they are adapted to our climate and will thrive in our gardens and yards as well as provide habitat for butterflies, birds, bees, and other pollinators.

We do not carry any non-natives or even cultivars--these are genuine, wild species that will support our local ecosystem!

The plants we sell are exclusively available through our plant sale because we’ve partnered with a native plant nursery that does not sell directly to customers.

Our plants are sold in quart or gallon sizes, meaning they will be hardy, strong plants ready to look great in your garden right away.

Please consult our downloadable planting guide for ideas about how and where to plant each species we offer.

IMportant information

When you take part in this sale, you are pre-ordering some beautiful native plants which will be available by pick-up ONLY on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Fountain Rock Nature Center in Walkersville, MD (8516 Fountain Rock Ct., Walkersville, MD 21793) between 10am-2pm.

You must  be available for pickup on that day. Please consult our FAQ below or  reach out to us with any questions at fountainrockplantsale@gmail.com.

We ask that you purchase at least 3 plants in your order to help us keep our native plants affordable and our volunteers sane.

If for any reason, you are unable to pick up your plants on that day, they will be considered  a donation and planted onsite at Fountain Rock Nature Center, where they will support wildlife and be enjoyed by the public.
